He has travelled extensively throughout Canada, particularly in the north, and to parts of the western United States and Alaska.  His travels abroad have taken him to the Galapagos Islands, Pribilof Islands, Ecuador, Egypt, Holland, England, Trinidad, Tobago, Tanzania, and Kenya.  Bob has conducted numerous safaris to Kenya and continues to take groups there on a regular basis.  For more than twenty years he has conducted photography workshops at Churchill, Manitoba, and in other locations.

Robertís work has also appeared in many national and international magazines including, Equinox, International Wildlife, Life, Readerís Digest, Airone, Photo Life, Birderís World, American Birds, Photo Digest, Birds of the Wild, The Beaver, Art Impressions, and Canadian Geographic.

His award-winning book portraying the scenery and nature of Manitoba, The Manitoba Landscape: A Visual Symphony, has far exceeded the ďbest-sellerĒ mark for a Canadian book and underwent five printings.  The Edge of the Arctic: Churchill and the Hudson Bay Lowlands also exceeded all expectations in sales and the revised edition The Edge of the Arctic: Churchill and the Hudson Bay Region is now enjoying even greater success..  It has a particular emphasis on the world-famous Polar Bears.

Another of Robertís recent publications is the result of over thirty years of observation and photography of the magnificent Great Gray Owl.  The Great Gray Owl: On Silent Wings contains colour photographs of all aspects of the owlís life, including intimate scenes at the nest and spectacular flight shots in winter.

Manitoba: Seasons of Beauty, published in October of 2002, has already gained popular acceptance and favourable reviews.

Bobís love of nature and his lifelong interest in art have combined to yield a sensitivity that has not only inspired his own work, but that of others.  His enthusiasm, knowledge, and ability to communicate have made him a popular lecturer, teacher, and tour leader.
